March for Life

Friday, January 19

As part of the Evangelicals for Life conference, join with evangelicals leaders from across America—leaders like Russell Moore and Jim Daly—to put your pro-life witness in action by joining hundreds of thousands of others and peacefully marching on Washington D.C.

The March for Life began as a small demonstration and rapidly grew to be the largest pro-life event in the world. The peaceful demonstration that has followed on this somber anniversary every year since 1973 is a witness to the truth concerning the greatest human rights violation of our time, abortion.

Why we march?

All over America, pro-life citizens work everyday to foster a culture of life. Whether caring for the women who enter crisis pregnancy centers or working to see legislation passed, the pro-life movement works to change hearts and minds about the dignity of unborn life. Culminating each year in January, on the anniversary of Roe v. Wade, pro-life citizens from all over the United States gather in Washington D.C. to participate in what has become the largest pro-life event in the world: The March for Life. Each year, the numbers continue to rise as citizens are awakened to the reality that 55 million of their brothers and sisters, their fellow citizens and neighbors, are missing as the result of abortion.

As part of the Evangelicals for Life conference, this solemn, yet joyful demonstration has become the crowning hallmark for seeing a culture of life restored as citizens give voice to the voiceless. More than ever, it is time for evangelical Christians to have their presence known as we all work for a pro-life consensus in America. Join us.

As Christians, we know no earthly enemies. Despite it taking place in our nation’s capital, the March for Life isn’t a protest. It isn’t about showdowns or shows of strength. This isn’t about Left versus Right. It’s about solidarity with our neighbor and a convictionally kind witness. Evangelicals for Life at the March for Life is about engaging the prophetic imagination, like the prophets of our past, whose call for justice was inextricably tied to their call for reconciliation.

Important Notes

  • Do not leave trash or signs on the grounds of the National Mall, Supreme Court, or Capitol. This is our Nation’s Capital and we should treat it with dignity and respect. If trash bins are full, please carry your trash or sign with you until you find an available trash bin.
  • Do not engage with counter protesters. Once again, please be respectful of all people and stay focused on the cause of promoting and celebrating life, lovingly and graciously.
